Dear Plavan Families,

As we head into this festive holiday season, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our amazing Plavan community. This time of year is always busy, and our PTO has a lot of exciting fundraisers happening. Thank you for supporting them however you can. One fundraiser we’re especially excited about is our Read-A-Thon, which not only encourages a love of reading but also helps us raise important funds for our school. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!

Your participation, whether it’s volunteering your time, sharing our events with friends and family, or contributing when you’re able, truly makes a difference. Our programs, activities, and support for the school wouldn’t be possible without you.

Current Fundraisers

Clean Out Your Closet for Plavan!

Clean out those closets and help support our school! We’re collecting gently used clothing, shoes, linens, and other soft goods for our fundraiser. Multiple drop-off dates are available. Please click the flyer for the full schedule and a list of accepted items. Our remaining drop off days are: 12/6, 12/8, 12/15, 1/5, and 1/10.

Donation Days Volunteers Needed

The Outdoor Ed Committee is looking for a few volunteers to help during donation drop-off days. Volunteers will assist with collecting soft goods and bringing them to the storage shed. Your help makes a big difference! Thank you for supporting Outdoor Ed!

See’s Candy Fundraiser 🍫
Our See's Candy fundraiser is coming to an end this Friday, December 5. Be sure to place your orders before then! See's Candy makes the perfect gift for friends, families, and co-workers. If you don't see your favorite treat on the website, consider purchasing gift cards through the fundraiser and buying in-store! And according to many families, shipping has been very quick!

Annual Read-a-Thon

Our Read-A-Thon is officially underway! The simplest way to participate is by giving your student a flat donation to support their pledge to read as many books as possible between now and December 19. Every contribution, big or small, helps enrich our students’ experiences on campus and supports field trips throughout the year

Holiday Grams are back! Grams will be sent home with your student on Monday, December 8. Please have all grams returned no later than Monday, December 15. We cannot accommodate late grams. Please make sure your student has exact change. Grams can be turned into your student's teacher.

There are so many ways to get involved and support our school! Volunteering doesn’t always mean big commitments. It can be as simple as calling or emailing local businesses for donations, making copies, or helping with small tasks that make a big difference. We encourage you to check out our website for current volunteer opportunities and see how you can lend a hand. Please remember that all volunteers must be cleared through the front office if they are going to be working on campus.
